Story

The Devoids is a narrative point-and-click game, inspired by "Memento" and “12 Minutes”. The game takes place in a society that demonizes superhumans, as the ruling class is scared of their power and wants to take that power for themselves. Superhumans are ostracized from communities and hunted and captured by the government to be locked up and tested on in labs. In this world, the only thing the superhumans can rely on is each other, and so they are forced to stick together despite all wanting to deal with their discrimination in different ways.

When you find out that your friends are secretly superhumans, they consider killing you to keep their secret from getting out. Your mission is to show your friends that you will not treat them differently just because they are superhumans, and that they can trust you.

Install instructions

To play the game, download the files, and extract them from the zip. Then, double click the file with the triangular icon. At this point, your computer will likely give you a warning, and not allow you to run the game due to permission issues. If you are using a Mac, you should follow the instructions in this video to change the permissions, so that the file will run properly. If you are on a windows computer, you can get around a similar issue by clicking "more info" on the pop-up window, and then clicking "run anyway".
